VITAL CUE ON THE MIDDLE EAST
What We Thought We Knew
By: C. Harrison/January 27, 2014
I stumbled on to a visual lecture which had taken place 2013, given by a Professor Rosemary Hollis, who is a Professor of Middle East Policy. Literally I was looking into the outcry of (Why is no one paying attention to the Water-Rashion in the Middle East and that it might be One reason for the various wars playing out in that region. I wanted to know more). Anyway, as I listen I thought the lecture was quite peculiar, I had never heard it put this way before by another. Although I knew that various parts of her speech was in fact what is driving the Middle East, I never looked into its factuality to back it up. Moreover, some of what she explained I didn’t know.
Professor Hollis’s lectured in IIEA on Regional Security Trumping Regional Democracy in the Middle East, the lecture was done 2013. According to Hollis, the slogan for the Middle East is Arab Spring, which grew out of the existing Liberty Context-dignity, job, and anti-corruption. The region is Monarchy vs the populations-something to a degree we all know about.
The Professor stated that one cannot picture Europe without – North Africa via the Middle East because the entire region is interwoven. (which is something I knew from child-wood taught in school). She said the Arab people have a voice and courage, they basically want what we want-stability. And she made clear that the regional implementation unions- the Arab Spring wants: western engagements-distribution-resources-water-material-products-and produces.
“The region is segmented into the: aging, autocratic, information and technology,” Hollis articulated. So if one is very poor, young, and not in one of these groups, then you are basically screwed. We get the picture its complicated-the very rich in the region will always take care of themselves dam the poor, which was what had gone-on, in the region’s era before Christ and is driving the forces regionally. Nothing has change in the region over 2000 year since Jesus. Cities-buildings are coming and going but man has not change. A crying shame.
Seems to me that the powers that be have been and currently is controlling the region, (Monarchies) along with power hungry sectors scouting manipulation; is what the entire region and its behavioral patterns has boil down to. This pattern is a worldwide behavior, leaders have to start looking inside of themselves; money and power is not everything. It is good to have incase one needs it, but, it is not to be used to manipulated. If you have it, put it to do good, I could go on and on about this but the basics are pretty much the same.
