THE NATION

By: C. Harrison/January 19, 2015/5:42am

This Tuesday night the 20th of January, 2015, Our President will give an address to the nation. It will be thee most important speech he will ever give of himself because it signals the winding down of his Presidency; which ends I-year from today 2016. And as one nation, we do not know where we stand or what will happen. We has a nation will be at the mercy of whoever takes over that office.

People start praying.

So, Tuesday night we better pay attention real good and know that we, are going to have a fight on our hands to the bitter end. This is our nation and we are the Government, remember that.

The State of the Union Tuesday Night 9PM.

HAPPY HOLIDAY MLK DAY

The Rite To

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

It seem like yesterday that Jessy Jackson, Steve Wonder and others went to Washington D. C., to seek the rights to get Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday put on the calendar. Yes, it was  hard fought, there were those that were venomly not for the idea and of course the oligarchy were dead set against it.

It took 15-long years to change mines and finally in 1983, it became official, a federal holiday.  It was signed into law by former President, Ronald Reagan. Three years later the first King Holiday was observed and in 2000, all 50 states obey the law. Here we are today vasting in all its glory.

Today, the question is, how far have we come?  how much further do we have to go?…cry out for help and pray because our life depends on it.  Dr. King taught us a lot of things, but are we following his teachings, are we taken up the battons, are we helping each other even if it pains us. Are we putting trust in each other and are we caring for each other.?

The answer is some, a few are doing what they are suppose to do but, no, the vast majority of this nation seems further away from each other and our populus has a very long way to go.  A shame really, because Dr. King, along with others died and left us a road map to follow.

People do not let or allow the teachings of Dr. King and our elders go to waste. We must heed to there teachings on this very special Day, and from here-on. “God Bless Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for walking this earth.”

He Was New York’s Monarch

He lived his life with dignity to the American people and ruled New York, with stern indignation and what he felt was right for New York. He gave us his word and kept it, some wanted him to become President because it was befitting to him. He looked the part of a President and would in most New Yorkers book, would have made the country proud.

He had a quality like none other and was respected for it, he was indeed New York’s Monarch. He lived a full life and God has called him home from a job well done. His life’s work will surely be carried on and he will not be forgotten for what he has done for the State  of New York.

REGGAE KING DEAD

KING SPORTY

Reggae Legend Noel Williams aka King Sporty, best known for his monster hit “Buffalo Soldiers,” a song written for Bob Marley; passed on Monday, January 5, 2015, with his wife by his bedside R&B legend Betty White.  king Sporty was the recipient of a Lifetime Honor Awards at the International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA), in New York 2010, held at York College. The Reggae world is once again in morning for another falling icon.

I was privileged to have been the Marketing Director, for the New York show that year and saw Mr. William for the first and last time in my life.

He will be missed…another mastery has gone  on to glory and his merits speaks for themselves.  Sporty did not give up that easy because he was in the midst of putting a movie together of which I am sure he would have starred in. Rip, too soon, his legacy lives on .
