New York, NY… He goes by the stage name EnkiiE, he was birth, De Andre Phompon. “I don’t know what my name means,” EnkiiE made clear. his entry into the Rap Industry, did not matured until he left the Marine Corp and seriously began to look for a career in the passion that he loves most, music. EnkiiE is a Producer, Engineer, Writer, Rapper and a profound Music Sound Creator. One word for his style of music, Impressive.

According to EnkiiE, while he was in the Marine Corp, even though he was not yet into the music scene one hundred percent and because he was introduced to the music by his mom; who allowed him and his cousin to watch marching bands and while he was living with his father he had listened to all kinds of music. He said, going into the Marine Corp he brought that mentally with him and use it to help himself whenever he got lonely.

Moreover, EnkiiE further noted that he brought equipment’s with him to each port that he visited and use them to make everyone happy. “I tried to do engineering back then, but now it is my brand, and I am putting something different into the world,” he said. A visionary he left the Marine Corp at the end of 2017. He had enlisted in 2013. while in the Marine Corp EnkiiE, visited North Carolina…booth camp, South Carolina…combat training, Virginia…occupational training and job training, Hawaii and Korea. He finished his contract with the Corp with an honorable discharge.

EnkiiE, conversely concedes that he never looked at himself as better than the marching band encountered in his younger life, but it got him interested. He also confessed that he played the trumpet in six, seven and eight grades. He made connotations to the fact that he listened to Gospel, R&B, and a little bit of Hip-Hop, earlier while living with his mom and attending a predominantly black school but, was a mixed environment for him while living with his dad. Thus, he got to experience pop, country, and rock music. EnkiiE said that he was sixteen or seventeen when he started listening to hip-hop paper track of T Hi. He revealed that his dad played the trumpet too and that pretty much music also come from his cousin and brother. A musical family.

Encroaching himself after he left the Marine Corp, and seriously sliding into the music scene…EnkiiE, said he did everything for himself. Thereafter, his manager Stefon Diggs, spread ie launched everything the end of 2018-2019 and got him interviews and release his music to sale. Stefon, he said lived across the street from him.

“Yes, my music is international. My brother produced the 808. I like melody music not percussion,” EnkiiE corrected . ” I wouldn’t say I learn creativity, it just kind of poured out of me,” “I am a firm believer that energy follows. I could use the same words they do but, put my style and sound to it, setting me apart. This also follows my brand to the world,” he explained.

Speaking bluntly about his music, EnkiiE analyzed it equivocally his way. “Regarding my song “Emotion”, I had three or four bust ideas I could have tapped into, to create it.” “Opening up my world view to create my music would’ve been better for me at the time of implementing my first music sounds because I lived and have seen synapses of the world.

In addition, the sound creator, admitted that in the Marines, he was reserved. Outside of using his music to make others happy, he was more of an observer. He said, “I did not engage too much.”

Furthermore, the music galvanizer stated that his album “Sky,” came about while they were in the studio going through beats to implement songs and basically called in Tee Wild, to drop the second verse. The fourth track took about four weeks to complete. “The sounds as far as contents were knew to me, it was more like hip-hop,” he said.

“I am trying to have my hands into everything. I do my own artwork. Most of my artwork comes from my room. I see me keep building and growing as a person. I have the world in my hands,” finished EnkiiE, a very capable and intellectual music visionary.

New York, NY… OG Compass is the real deal. No fanfare, hype, or fancy connotations. He is what he is, and his raps are as real as they get. He writes about what he knows or have experienced. “Nothing about my raps is made up everything is real,” he explained. The one centimeter of difference about him is watching his videos and then looking at his depictional characters and then talking to him away from the mic/stage; he is totally unmasked, a world of decorum’s and a voice full of compassion takes over; but, do not get it twisted OG Compass, whose real name is Stephan Junior Dareh, is not a push over, he has strong attributions about the world and that plays out in his unique music creation (Style).

In a refresher phone interview, I had recently with OG Compass, the music maker noted that his inception into the business of music began as a youngster working alongside his uncle, who owned the Rap Group Getto Concept, in Canada. Compass recalled that he was always around his uncle’s studio and was not an artist yet but, help his uncle behind the scenes recruiting artist and helping to manage them. He noted that being around them he became creative and one day he made a song and people loved it. It was then thereafter at age 25, he ventured into the Game, the Music Industry; into a world of becoming a Rap artist. Compass, also for the first time at this age, started making money, working with Malik Husup.

I did not learn music in school. There was a Revo, a Music Conference, a first annual in Miami. I went full steam ahead. From there it was history in the making, as far as music. “My music is something with substance…there is not a lot of that out there,” he said. Compass moreover, conceded that he wants to push his music like Kanye West, making music with substance. When asked if he knew Kanye West, He reply no and that he only worked with West’s Team.

Compass attended Pere Marquette Catholic High School. He studied for two years in college, where he took advertising, management and communications. He, thereafter, received his manager’s license. “Proactively, I got through with a lot of things,” Compass confided.

Conversely, Compass also explained that his EP Reign, gave birth on a rainy day when he had an encounter with God, hence the name Reign. He said the idea of it was to find his journey and tell his story of how he founded God. The EP was produced by Alvan Albert Powell and directed by Phase Four Production. Moving it seem like at warped speed Compass, dropped G41, August 2021, it was produced by local producer Topfive and coming at it from another angle, in September 2021, Compass again dropped Reflection. A man in trenches of the rap music, on fire. His recently mint video release Tell Me What’s Up, is gravitating and comes with an out of this world video. The video showed him tripping on a spaceship. It looked intriguing and showed probably the reality and true nature of who OG Compass is, and where he was as far as his space and time. The idea and creation of the video came on the heels of a breakup, with then girlfriend. Compass said, “As far as signing my contracts, I agree to disagree on some of my collection jargons.”

In addition, voicing his concerns about world views and his immediate surrounding, the quiet rapper further explained that while he will work with people who are LGBT, he will not promote that. Concerns regarding vaccines…he said, “The powers that be will take care of that. They want to pipe people out and it’s up to individuals to take or don’t take the vaccines.” “The pandemic gave me the time to get my music and business in order so, that when Covid is gone, everything can get moving. It’s planning right now. I have so much music its crazy.”

Further sounding off on world views, the Rapper voiced his opinion on the topic of the African nation Ghana. He rendered the following, “The movement is the developing Ghana. Ghana is growing and now the number one technology country in Africa. It is moving in the right direction even through there are a lot of corruption there.”

Furthermore, in commenting on the Me Too Movement, he confided that he did not have a problem with it. Compass said, “I make sense.” “They want to get somewhere, all the power to them.” “Up I want to go, all out make music and have a good time,” he quipped.

“For now, it is about music… but sooner or later I want to have a family. I am just a man from Toronto, telling my story. I challenge everything. My families are Christians. My parents love my music…. they respect it. They help me out a little. It’s me getting grants from the Gov. to start up, my music,” he finished.

Here is a Youngman who from his inception into the Music Industry, has strived to make it. He is willing to do what it takes it seems to me. Should he continue his journey on his path, he will reach the panicle of his dream.

OG Compass Raps: “Don’t Wake Me Up” “Tell Me Whats Up” “Miracle” “Save Me” “Blue Clues” and “Why G”
