According to Jamaicans.com, a startup firm, Marley Natural, in New  York has introduced a line of marijuana strains that are branded using the name of reggae icon Bob Marley. The line includes four kinds of cannabis that are currently available in some dispensaries in California, but there are plans to expand the line to four other cities in the United States.

In addition, to the cannabis strains, the firm also introduced a line of smoking accessories and beauty products for sale throughout the U.S. These are the first products from Marley Natural, which was developed in 2014 with money from Privateer Holdings, a private equity company based in Seattle that focuses on marijuana businesses. The company has a 30-year licensing arrangement with Marley’s family to develop weed strains and other products. The Marley brand products join several other celebrity-branded marijuana lines. Critics have pointed to the irony of private corporate interests profiting from the name and legacy of Bob Marley, who was a vehement anti-capitalist.

NEW LAW INTRODUCED IN QUEENS TO PHOTOGRAPH COPS

State Senator James Sanders Jr. Introduces Bill Allowing Photographing and Recording of Police

State Senator James Sanders Jr. (D-Rochdale Village) today introduced legislation (S.6735) clarifying that a person is permitted to photograph and record law enforcement officers performing their  duties, when the officers is in a public place or public view, or the person is in a private place where they have a right to be present.

Existing law does not expressly prohibit photographing and recording police. However, there is an offense in New York called “Obstructing governmental  administration” under which interfering with police activity falls. This legislation amends that section of the law to clearly establish that the acts of photographing and recording police officers are not unlawful.

Further, under this new legislation the officer must not intentionally interfere with the photography or  recording; detain, arrest, intimidate or otherwise harass such person; search or seize the camera or recording device without permission or a warrant; or damage or destroy the device. A civil cause of action to recover monetary damages is created against any officer violating this law, as well as that officer’s law enforcement agency.

“There are calls for more transparency and accountability in law enforcement. When include pushes for police body cameras and dashboard cameras,”  Sanders said.  “In today’s age of smartphones, encounters with police are frequently recorded and the public, as well as law enforcement officers, should know the law permits capturing these moments. This effort can go a long way to bolster the public’s trust in our law enforcement system.”

DOWN TOWN JAMAICA SIDEWALK WOES

SUTPHIN BOULVARD

A few days well nights ago, I was walking on the sidewalk on Sutphin Blvd, across the street from the Long Island Rail Road -Archer Ave right next to the recent Q6 bus stop and in front of the Green Market Chinese Grocery store…..I was almost thrown to the ground because my foot got hitch on a crack on the side walk. My right foot literally got out of one of my shoe.

The reason that I am not letting this go is because I got thrown on my backside on 164th street walking on the sidewalk toward the Central Post Office, when workers were getting ready to build the now infamous new school on Hillside Ave. To date, I am very glad that I did not hit my head but I did hit my shoulder, a shoulder that is badly hurt already from a fall I got at 42nd and Grand Central—where I fell and rolled down the escalator, again glad that my clothing didn’t get caught up in the stairs. Glad to say I walked away from that a bit brused but, it was later I found out how bad when my shoulders started hurting.  Anyway….

My first thought was what if that was a baby carriage, and the baby was not strapped in properly–that baby would go flying. So I stopped and took a picture. This particular area is always full with people and now that the Q6 is right there, it is even more dangerous. These cracks have to be fixed and promptly….

THE DEMOCRATIC DEBATE BEFORE THE NEW HAMPSHIRE PRIMARY FIERY

ADAMENT

This is How A Debate Is Done lots of Flouring With A Notch of Spice

This last Democratic debate on the road to the New Hampshire Primary was what we wanted it to be. The American people deserve to not only get a good debate but deserve to hear what these Candidates running for President stand for;  what they are willing to do for us, how they plan to do it and how they will stand up for us in the face of adversaries.  All of the above was answered tonight, in the face of a spirited debate between two democrats. We got all the answers we seek.

Former Secretary of States Hillary Clinton stated that she have been fighting for us all along  since she came into Government. She noted that she fought for equality, healthcare, against big money, children policies, against corporate rate & corruptions and protection for our Government, among other things. She said “I have the scares to prove them,” and she wants to build on what President Obama and his administration have done.

Senator Bernie Sanders evoked that he is running a campaign for Revolutionary Change in Politics. He said that big corporation are getting away with not doing their part. And reiterate that its time for Wall Street to bail out the middle class. He is slightly differ on how to pay for healthcare.

At times the candidates hit back and forth over how issues should be solved, how duration of jobs will get done and frankly how to paid for new implements. Both candidate did what they came to do and clear the air on what they will actually do and willing to get done.

The debate was heated yet effected.  Straight talking  and no side dish very polish…for a minute there we were in Dems heaven. The clear winner showed shy self last night. Yes, there is a clear choice choose wisely.

He was the leader and founder of the iconic group Earth Wind & Fire. Every music lover from the 1960sto the present, knows who Earth Wind & Fire is. The group over the years have sold 90 million albums and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000. They have also won six Grammys and endured numerous number one hits. All told they were one of the ruling bands during the 1970-1980 all the way through to the 1990s.

All of us have our favorite songs belt out each year by music lovers who would use these legendary songs to signal the start of  summer.. Some of our cherished includes: “Do You Remember” “Lets Groove tonight”  “September” and “Sing A Song.”

White is gone but he will never be forgotten—Earth Wind & Fire gave us styles, fusion in music genres and yes, Fashion. He left us a legacy in tact; his name will be taught in schools whenever great bands are mentioned in the history books. Maurice White left his Mark and leave us his contribution to music. Rip too soon he died in his sleep at 74 years old said his brother.  bundiblog.com send out its condolence!!!!

Maurice  opened his eyes in 1941 and close them at sunset February 4, 2016.
