THE HALLMARK OF A FIASCO

THE REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION

By: C. Harrison/7/24-26/2016/4:17 AM

On Monday, July 25, just hours before the Democratic Party was to put on their showcased Convention we learned that Debbie Wasserman, the chair of the DNC would be stepping down after the conclusion of the Democratic Convention on Thursday, July 28, 2016; why, because someone hacked into the DNC emails and send it off to Wikileaks. Thus far, no one knows who did it but so far all hands are pointing to the Russians.

This Journalist working theory: I believe that Donald Trump had something to do with the email leaks. I stated it on twitter that, “The email leaks came from Trump to Russia with love via Wikileaks.” Why do I believe this one would ask, because all of the reasons given for the leaks to me doesn’t add up. Even if the Donald cozy up to Putin and the Russians, they would hack but keep the information to themselves. Why tell us when it benefits them to just watch. No, the reason given sounds like it’s a personal vendetta and whosoever the hacker is he or they wanted the DNC to know what they did and they also knew that it would take a while before the FBI shed light on who actually did it. And after the Donald win well, who cares he is getting away with everything he has done wrong or crimes he has committed thus far.

The making of a fiasco, last week we got a full display of what the Republicans had in store for us. The Republican National Convention was suppose to have been a spectacular picturesque convention according to Donald Trump and he just loved that stage; while he didn’t use these words here exactly, by all accounts the convention was to be grand. The convention turned out to be a dud. Speaker after speaker none was better than the other.

Trouble began when the Donald wife Melania Trump took the stage and basically repeated almost word for word the same speech given by First lady Michelle Obama, at her acceptance convention in 2008 for her husband President Barrack Obama. After Melania finished her speech we learned from Matt Louder in a video taped previously that Melania said that she wrote the infamous speech, with as little help as possible. This episode galvanize the media for several days thereafter. Following that presentation trump’s children especially Ivanka, did as expected—they said all the right things in praise of their dad.

Accordingly, Christ Christie came and spoke although we know that he was vetting for the Vice Presidency and didn’t get it. He bellowed through his speech–Rudy Giuliani did the same thing both of whom probably went home with sore throats, no one seems to pay much attention to them. Of course, the big riposte was Ted Cruise, who turned the convention on its head to the point where they booed him out of the convention and his gloat is still being felt and talked about today; even hours before the start of the DNC’s Convention. The point being, is that the Republican National Convention was a train-reck; even the Donald pick of a Vice President, Mike Pence, was not impressive. Some said that he was chosen or picked because the Donald can boss or man-handled him. Pence is the opposite of Trump’s ideal.

To finish off the slaughter of the convention Donald Trump gave a troubled and vicious speech. A speech filled with contempt, darkness and the concept of dismal; as if we will be living in his little utopia. Up until now, Trump has not given us a plan, or tell us how he plans to run this country. Thus far, he has given scenarios and bullied us into the idea that he will be the (Law & Order) of this country. He has told us about the deficit but never explained how he plans to pay off or actually fixed the deficit. “I will bring back law and order on January 20, 2017,” Trump keep repeating. He also said, “I will bring it to you straight. I joined so that the powerful can no longer beat upon the weak.” This statement fits right in because he was really talking about himself. I hope he realizes that he is one of those powerful who was also taking money from the weak to build his hotels.

In addition, Trump referred to untruths that crimes has risen 50% in Chicago alone this year—this was a bold face lie. Everybody knows that since this President Barrack Obama, took office in 2008, the country’s crimes on a whole have been at their lowest in decades. Moreover, this Journalist counted at least 10 lies that the Donald told during his speech. Trump even strum that illegal people have been killing Americans and that the Obama Administration is not doing anything about it and worst not putting enough money into the system to protect Americans. (Donald, where were your fair share in Texas? You paid as little as possible and bragged about it). You have been getting away with it for years, all of a sudden you have seen the light.

“No one knows the system better than me, which is why I alone can fix it and we will do these things fast,” Trump furnished. This is a crock right. Pondering even further to the crowd Trump noted that he wants a Justices’ like the late Anthony Scalia, imagine or picture this.

Thereafter, Trump did everything that he could to muster-up and ponder some more to the crowd, saying everything in the right way that he believes the crowd wanted to hear. At times his voice would go low (some stated that its a possibility that it might be the way it was written, not his style or cup of tea, mark you) and other times his voice pitches to the heavens. In essence, there were no message at all. I have stated it a few times before that Donald Trump, is just winging it. Donald Trump has no plans on how to run America.

The indignation that is rising all over the world is not clearly precedent why because history is repeating itself and mankind have not learnt a dam thing. Inside and out side all over this planet our fore parents have fought and die for us to make this world a better place and we have failed them miserably. We have no excuse to ponder as to why we have not surged ahead with a common idea or goal that we can live better if we all realize that we are coming from the one place on earth Africa.

After World War 11, Most of Europe floated into Northern Africa as well as other parts of Africa, why because they knew Africa was where they came from. Right here in Queens a study was done to find out the origin of mankind to put the argument to rest and what they found out was what some of us already knew the answer to . To make a long story short the organizers took DNA samples from people of all walks of life, every race on earth at a annual gathering and trace their roots and ancestry all the way back to the motherland of Africa. Needless to say, some of those people were clearly in shock but it served a purpose to allow us to see that none of us are really different and we are coming from the same set of parents. Amazing yes.

In this country blacks have been preaching that their lives matter because of the stigma of the police killing first and ask questions later. Black mothers are fed up of loosing their sons to senseless killings. Here is the thing, what have we all learned since the 1960s, yes, a few things have drastically change but the bulk of what gave birth to this ideology of one color is better than the other as far as race is still a ticking time bomb.

At one point in our history only the Kings and Queens and certain kingdoms had riches and treated poor people like dirt and so for centuries, it went on until booth-legging and criminal activity and some very talented and highly skilled people got into the mix as well as those who did the right thing and paid their dues and moved up into this world build business and became rich, now seeing themselves as those Kings and Queens further elevating the race status and further pushing people apart as (you are this and I am that).   continue down…..

photo credit: Lawrence Lugg and Google

credit lawrance Lugguntitled.png sterling     untitled.png castlieThe race card was a business which some in our society have not gotten over and others want to go back to, not realizing that- that part of our history will never happen ever again in this world. Black people have to wake up. Those who are tuned into their own world view via their own little environment you better start paying attention. Black Lives Matter is trying to tell you something which, all of you should’ve already know. Black people in this world are not the minority we are the majority when it come right down to it technically.  Here in the United States, most police officers are there to help and protect you. But some (police officers) are in fact on the streets to serve themselves not to protect you. They are their to protect what they joined the police force to protect; these are a minor few we hope.

You have to be humble and discipline enough not only for yourself but for officers when they approach you. Alton Sterling from Louisiana and Castile Philando in Minnesota did not have to die but they did and for the wrong reasons; thus, one lone gunmen Micah Xavier Johnson, a soldier who should’ve been helping was instead fed-up and took action producing the killings of 5 of Dallas finest July 7, 2016. Everybody said that Dallas State did everything right, it followed the rules and protocol– was a shining beacon—no one knew or could have known that this youngman was so wound- up or cut up over what was taking place around the country that he called himself to active duty and took action again for the right reasons but wrong action for the motive. His grievances shouldn’t have been taken out on police officers, in this fashion.

In the end we can only guess that he was taken aback by the sheer volume of how many recent young black men killed by the police for senselessness and none of them went to jail or was held accountable for what they did. He took it to heart. Today,  both Alton Sterlings and Castile Philando has been buried their names will carry on the baton. The President has held a town hall meeting and the State Attorney General has spoken out, among numerous other states officials .

Accordingly, in spite of all that had just taken place last week we again on Sunday, July 17, 2016, 8:40 am ran smack into another shooting down of police officers; three police officers in Baton Rouge Louisiana heeded our attention. 45 year-old Sheriff Deputy Brad Garafola, 41-year-old Baton Rouge police Officer Matthew Gerald and 32 year-old Montrell Jaskdon, who 9-days ago left a telling message on his Facebook page stating,  “I wear to God I love this City but I wonder if this City loves me back.”   Why on earth did this youngman have to leave a message like this? because he too knew that Black People is fed-up and it didn’t matter wither a police officer was black or white, at this  juncture in time some blacks are looking at police officers as one, this time the gunman came out of Kansas City, Gavin Long, a former Marine. Really, this is hard to sallow as these two gunman are members of our arm services.

Our crossroads is that this nation’s police stations houses via departments, divisions, rank n files, colonels, captains and commissioners have a lot of working-out to do. I am preaching that they start with cleaning house, root out  the bigotry and take the clannish feed out of these stations houses first. Then look at training and back grounds–go from there. It not hard to do some of these officers are good people help them to help us. Pat Lynch, please don’t you say a word. In the interim, Black lives Matter and other groups will stay vigilant.

Lastly, I want to stress to all mothers, be he careful how You, yes you-are raising boys to become men, enough said.

DONALD TRUMP’S TWISTED WAYS BOUGHT BY THE NEW YORK TIMES

JUSTICE GINSBURG SHOULDN’T HAVE APOLOGIZE

                                     untitled.png ginsburg

By:C. Harrison/7/15/2016 modified from 7/14/2016 from my notes Photos via Google untitled.pngtrump The idea of Donald Trump beating upon Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg a 80+ year old woman and The Washington Post saying she was in appropriate for making a statement and the New York Times, actually coming out in his defense in their editorial stating  that Trump was right is telling: Trump said its unprecedented that Ginsburg spoke out on the fact that he (Trump) shouldn’t become our President…. and that she is corrupt. First of all, both Trump, the Washington Post and the New York Times, who should’ve known better, with all due respect should’ve check the history books first.

Also, the argument Trump poses as well went as far as to say, “Ginsburg is a disgrace to the Supreme Court,” is outrageous; he said that about this Justices,’ who have serve her country most of her life and have ruled on far greater important issues than his head regarding this nation is a low down shame even for the Donald.

Pardon me, but when the late Justice Anthony Scalia, handed George W. Bush Jr. the Presidency on a platter served up with the finest herbs, back in the 2000-2003 era via even though the vote was given to the Supreme Court to be decided, we all knew that former Vice President Al Gore won—but Scalia played politics; what ‘s the difference now that Mrs. Ginsburg wants to give her opinion. So, what are we saying here, that Justice Ginsburg cannot speak her mind. Even though she is a Supreme Court Justice, Justice Ginsburg is a citizen of these United States and she has a right to speak out on what she believes.

Noting her, that Ginsburg is a member of the highest court in the land she is first again,  a citizen and a part of this nations populous and as such, she shouldn’t have had to apologize saying next time I will circumspect or I should’ve circumspect, to Donald Trump. This Justice have enough commonsense to know how to differentiate certain rules to do her judiciary service.

I don’t believe that Ginsburg would play favoritism if she had to reside over Donald Trump’s crimes and court proceedings. I believe that she would make her rulings according to the evidences in question.

THE ARTIST ‘PRABLEM’

AN INSIGHT ON THE ARTIS’TS GENTEEL PERSPECTIVE AND HIS ALBUM SPIRITUAL INSOMNIA

scan0002_crop

By: C. Harrison/7/5/2016 7:04 AM

It was the art work on his cd cover that drew me in for a closer look and upon meeting him through mutual friends, my first thoughts were that he was urbane. One would never know this by the depiction on his album cover; which, was graphically done in good taste, expressively creative with vision and an hint of inner strength. Sure enough, the cover was done by Prablem himself. The cd covers’ art work according to Prablem, come from his o’ry or ore which signifies “The roaming aspect of a rebel;” for which the album pinned or dub him ‘Prablem The Substance.’ “Spiritual Insomnia” is Prablem’s debuted album.

According to the artist the album resonated and played over well with everyone because it sounded different and the lyrics carried weight beyond measure; and he came to the United State basically to promote it in essence. Prablem, got exactly what he sought after   for his album, maximum attention; he got reviews and airplay up and down the New York east coast. The artist got interviewed by various radio programs including Linkup Media, Reggae King Radio, VP Records, Road Block radio and Vibe Links among others.

“This album is a first of its sort. This is for grown folks. My fans are a mixture of people; young, old and in between. I hope to gain people that are opened minded. This album is also a mixture of poetry,” proclaimed the crafty visionist.

Moreover, the artist also explained that his album is a fusion between a couple of genres of music. He said it stem to appeal to those who aren’t afraid of listening  deeply to spirituality. He conceded that the album’s principal focus is spirituality.

To put it mildly, the album is thought provoking and intriguingly unique. Although we have heard rappers as well as other reggae artist sound off, with intense lyrical hybrids, never before have we heard anything put in such manner, where the lyrics sound like they came from an higher authentication and also sounded not too preachy but is quiet or secluded coming out of an eclectic musician.

In accordance and to gain prospectively more information, this Journalist vested for more explanation of the singer’s  focal points and overall mind-set; thus, I engaged him further as to why he selected  Spiritual Insomnia to lead off and end the album? , to which he explained it this way– “Track #1 sets the tone for the body of the project. It was intentionally done with an African beat and soul and, track #10 is an expression of how I felt about the entire journey leading up to the completion of the album.”  “The journey was mix feelings. I lost friends.  I was categorized has selfish because I was focused. I was made aware of my sounding, really was. The journey was mind boggling as well as spiritual and uplifting,” noted Prablem.

In addition, in lamenting on Track # 5 Today Reality, to me, which I considers controversial via (Do you care what people say about you when you drop lyrics like these) he owned it noting,  “Yes, I consciously seek out this kind of message. I have been writing post on social media and am in meetings on the same topics,” said the radical minded inspirer.  He further expressed that he does care what people say about his lyrics, but conceded that he carefully choose what he pays attention to.

Additionally, Prablem sound off on track #7 Righteous Path and track # 8  Spade of Spade;  “In this manner Righteous Path, came about  with me always wanting to united  with strong and motivated artist. When I  came up with the title I only had one artist in mind to do it with, but then it became more than just a song, it became a movement. And as for track #8, Spade of Spade, that track is hitting the nail on its head, no sugar coding. That was my first sound off, many to come via the video to follow,”  he articulated seriously.

“I Have to isolate myself spiritually from everyone around me so as to maintain focus and allow in influences that connect with my interpretation, is how I prepare myself for a project. My experience and things I have seen inspires me. I have no other album on the market officially,” he quipped.

Conversely, Prablem noted that he has been in the music business since the age of 16; he performed and worked as a disjockey. He performed with the likes of Fantom Mojah and Lutan Fyah. Prablem has a degree in Marketing and is a certified Marketer. He also does photography. The multi-talented artist even has a minor in International Business, but maintains that music is his passion. The singer went to first Hayes Primary, then to Glenmore High School and moved on to U-Tech, University Technical.

Again, when asked to explain track #9, True to Myself and the fact that when most artist  are singing about the glorification of money seemingly to surge or propel themselves ahead as they see fit to the market they’re catering to; what made him decide to stay humble and not take that road ?  Prablem express his feelings this way,  “Because you can never ever get enough money but when you seek knowledge of yourself, there will be nothing in this world to have you enslaved. So, in order for me to stay in control of my own thoughts and actions, I pray to stay humble and grounded,”

“I was not brought up in church. I was singing on my own before I became a singer. I started singing at age 11. My love for music derived from my love of writing,” “I am from Vere Clarendon, my up bringing was unstable due to the death of my mother. I was 2 years old, when she died. I grew up with my dad, family, neighbors, and friends. my spirituality leads me to erase all the bitterness of my pass and replace it with nothing but love and appreciation for life. “I was a free spirited person. I got into Rastafarism by my understanding of religion and what it does to people.  So, I decided ro do my own research and make my own decision. Religion is division,” he stated gently, finishing.

This album will wake you up to the truth if you haven’t already done so. You can purchase this CD on itune, google play, or amazon.
