He sounded relaxed , certain of himself and very assertive in his tone. He also sounded like someone, you would want to be around. Recently, August 7th , in a phone interview from California, actor Ricky Russert, shared his story with me.

According to Russert, he is acting because when he first got into acting he found that he had the same feeling of fighting back all kinds of excitement, the same kinds he had when he played sports, as a child and in college. He is also acting because acting was over-powering to him….and three semesters into college he quit his Business Major and took up acting.

“Childwood prepared me for Acting. When you are up there, the bat goes off and you are in the moment,” stated Russert.

Explaining his college years, Russert revealed that he took up quite a bit of Shakespear. He reiterated that he had a great experience doing it. “There, I learned the expression of words, there pronunciations and there effects. These also help me to prepared for acting,” he said. Moreover, Russert said that being in the moment, is the one thing that never  changes in acting. He assured me that the core of a character and the expressions on stage are more embellishments. “I don’t put much though into it, weather I could have become pro, in sport,” he quipped

“I though acting would be fun but its not easy; its a different type of work that drains you mentally, physically and is 18-hours of work on stage sometimes for a few minutes of TV shots,” Russert said.

In addition,  Russert voiced that he tries to keep much of his childwood with him even now.  “Most of the time I was put on the spot by my family and I am still the center of attention  in my family; but, its not what droved me or drives me now,” said the charm sounding actor.  What drives him is that feeling, knowing what he can do with that character. Russert also conceded that the best actors are children, because their imaginations are art.

When asked about his latest film project “Banshee,” and being one of the actor in it. Russert explained that Banshee, is in its third season and  that Banshee is fantastic, the show has a bit of  Quintan Tarantino, about it and has no down sides.” The cool sounding actor, relays that everyone involved is ideal for the show and that the film was shot in Moore’s ville, North Caroline…..a small town. ” He claims that the Southeast is very warm but its been a blast for him.

Russert, conceded that he loves his nieces and nephews and enjoys traveling and loves camping. “I love being on the water. I also enjoy living in the city for a different reason, ” Russert said.

According to Russert, he enjoys spending time with his fiancée, who he said is a dietician. She owns a chocolate company. He pointed out that they learn everything from each other and  revealed that both their parents met in high school, as did his fiancée and himself. Russert’s father was a carpenter by trade. Russert proclaimed that he did some of that type work. He said, “I am pretty hands-on with everything. I find that hand-on is the way to go.”

Russert likes to be there for people.  And confessed that he’s pretty much knowledgeable. “If I had to survived on my own or if left in the woods, I could hold my own. I have that ability to adopted to environments,” he articulated

Russert, plays the part of  Tommy Lee Little Stone, who’s a part of the Coniabho Tribe…..a native American gang, the Redbones. Some of the actors in Banshee are:  Stephen Ware… Judge, Tyson Sullivan…Hondo, Antony Starr…Lucas Hood,  Frankie Faison…Sugar Bates, Demetrius Grosse…Deputy Emmett Yawners and Harrison Thomas…Jason Hood….to name a few, too much to name here.

Russert owns Triple R Entertainment, and is an established producer. Watch out for  this heartthrob and soon to be leading actor.

Ricky Russert, is the youngest of three children; born July 22, 1983. He was raised in Kennewick, Washington and some say, born to entertain. He was the center of attention in his family, only because they would put him on the spot during times of family functions. He grew up playing baseball, football, and basketball….along with being an international athlete and trophy winner in Tae-kwon-do at age 10. Russert attended Kennewick High School where he received a scholarship to play college baseball; there, he started his major in Business.  But, it was not until he was reverting and reminiscing on a play he did back in high school, where he played a lawyer in a mock trial competition that Russert got his acting bug back., which besieged him to quit his Business Major, in his Junior year of college, at Washington State University and dive back into acting. He took up acting and history was in the making.
