Wade Anthony Douglas, stage legal…Rasta BlacSpade, arrived and tasted his first recorded song in the United States, reaching Kilimanjaro.
Recently, I reminisced with a humble Rasta BlacSpade, about his current released “Jah Jah Lives” and how it came to fruition.
According to the demure artist, the inception of “Jah Jah Lives,” came about while he was sitting around reminiscing one day thinking about (Rasta Live}. The uptick of that who is the ‘Creator,’ thus the inspiration for the song. Thereafter, the idea for the song would resurface again, this time at the studio questing for a new hit song. An example, of his focused words in the song and on the Creator, the lyrical line ‘Tell the youths to stop putting needles in their veins and call on Jah,’ speaks volume.
Decisively, Rasta BlacSpade inserted that he wants the youths to take away the positive words and upliftment. “We want them to be like us in society…to be great,” he said. “The song is basically for everybody not for a special group,” he noted further.
When asked if he felt that music artist, must still consciously push this kind of message to young people today, more so than yesterday.? He asserted that the message is still the same and that it’s only generational changes.
To explain his musical style apart from his colleagues on his label Thug Chemist Muzik Label, he invoked his answers this way, “My style is different from others on the Label’s style. My sound is different from theirs also. My energy is always up…a fire energy,” Rasta BlacSpade said. In addition, the music mantra moreover conceded that his music is a variety consisting of Lovers Roak Reggae, Roots Reggae and Dancehall Reggae. “Jah Jah Lives” and “Be Like The Sea,” videos are done and out on YouTube.
In engaging his fans, the music maker said this, “It’s a joyful moment performing for my fans. It’s a musical high energy. It makes you ready for any moment. importantly, it’s never a bad time to cater to the fans.”
Conversely, he also revealed that promotionally wise, the song is doing well and that he is getting good feedback. The song is doing well in Jamaica, Africa, Europe, and in various other countries online. “Music is always my calling weather I am up or sleeping. I would tell young musical talents to be patience, don’t give up on your dream. The sky is the limit. I have no limitations. Work hard and keep positive. Keep giving support. I always appreciate it. Unity for one and all. Love over all things,” stated Rasta BlacSpade.

Lamenting on his auto-mechanic business, the prolific song writer emphasized, “My auto-business is different from my music. So no, it doesn’t help me there. My clients don’t know me like that. Only a few people may know me from online. My music is also different from my work. I am not a talker. I wait for my moment. I don’t like to be seen all the time.” He finished gracefully.
