The G Pad 8 .3 is the first tablet by the South Korean firm in nearly two years to make it to market. The firm has struggled to regain lost grounds in the mobile market due to a shift to  smartphones growth and selling power.  The company which is the third largest smartphones maker behind Samsung and Apple electronic companies, hopes that the new tablet with a sharper display will help it gain traction.

The G Pad 8.3 has 1, 920 by 1, 200 resolution at 273 pixel per inch (PPI), better than Apple’s 7-9 inch iPod Mini; which has only 1, 024 by 768 resolution at 168 (PPI). It will square off against products like Amazon’s (NSE-AMZN)— faster and lighter versions of its Kindle tablet that were introduced late last month.

LG also added a feature that allows users to check and send message received by their Android Smartphones from the tablet; hoping such function will help it stand out in an increasingly crowded mobile market. This new tablet  is available for wifi only version. It will be sold for $550,000 won, this week in South Korea and introduce to 30 countries by years end.
