 This is Viola Davis’s second Emmy for (Best Actress In a Drama Series), She is the only Black Actress, to ever win twice in this historical contents. In the once a week drama of “How To Get Away With Murder,” on ABC TV,  Viola plays the role of Annalise Keating, a Professor and a shrewd Lawyer who use her law students to play the Game very well thus wining her cases.

Furthermore, Davis is not just a good actor, she is a dynamic actress and superb roles player.  Thus far,  she has done numerous shows and movies.  In the acceptance of her Emmy  she said, “The only thing that separates black actresses from their white counterparts are opportunities.”  Well done to her…Producer Shonda Rhimes is credited for the written role of Annalise

Shonda Rhimes, who’s making full use of Black actresses.. is opening- up eyes; in Drama Glasses all over America via the broader world. Rhimes is at the top of her Game and industry in Screenwriting, Directing and Producing. She has 3 of the hottest television drama series out tight now on ABC. (Grey Anatomy, Scandal, and How To Get Away With Murder,) and she has just sold another show to ABC.  Moreover, she is stirring up the pot with 4 more in development.

Never in our life time or in our history, have Black people ever seen another Black writer or Black screenwriters rose to this level. She has in a very short span of time, broken down the glass ceiling not only for black writers but for women; especially black women who are writers that have been trying to catch a break into the Hollywood movie scene.

Other credits to Rhimes growing portfolio are:  “Private Practice,” “Off the Map,” “Gilded Lilys” and “A Corazon Abjerto,” Hats off to her.  I should note here that Kerry Washington in Scandal, was the First Black Actress to win a Trophy for Rhimes’s producing skills.  For all you young adults aspiring wannabes, there is hope.
