CHURCHES GETTING INTO THE DEFENSE BUSINESS
New York, NY….In light of the increasing acts of violence against houses of worship, State Senator James Sanders Jr. (D) Rochdale Village), will host a special safty training session, where top defense experts from the Department of Homeland Security, FBI, NYPD Shield and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, will teach the faith-based community how to protect themselves.

When: Thursday, August 20, 2015, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

The training is being sponsored by: National Baptist Convention of America, First Episcopal District of AME, Inc, Greater Allen AME Cathedral, Calvary Baptist Church, United Neighbors Civic Association (UNCA) and Southern Poverty Law Center. And City Council Member Donovan Richards, is also a partner in the mission.
