Currently, he works at the University of Texes, Southwestern Medical Center, specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He will be graduating in June, 2014. Moreover, in his acting career he is doing commercials, comedy, and he is singing for charity, of which he has thus far raised half a million dollars, for children at his hospital. Dr. Peters is not to be taken likely.

According to Dr. Peters, what he does is really difficult. He contents that he doesn’t get the time to hang out with friends. What gets him through the day is the fact that he is a very smart guy. He said, “I am really smart, so I know how to concentrate; its like second nature to me. I don’t and can’t even tell you the method to my madness, I consistently work. I have had a lot of supportive people around me and I am happy doing something that I really love.” Reflecting on what he had accomplished, Peters joked that they actually had to bring cameras into the hospital and follow him around. He did internet commercials then.

Peters, was born August 14, in Forth Worth Texas, and is currently base in Dallas Texas. At eight months, he was adopted by Herbert and Barbara Andrus. His mother passed away of uterine cancer five years ago; he has two siblings, sister Jeanette and brother John, both lives in Forth Worth. Peters has since met his biological mother, Ruth—who lives in Minnesota and his father David who live in Forth Worth; he has developed a healthy adult relationship with both. Peters says that so far, he has had no problems with his biological parents. He noted that whenever you come into life later—especially into an adult relationship, its a bit hard. He further, lamented that he knew from the very beginning that his mother had a son, who died; thus, the need to adopt children.

Peters, first began acting in church plays when he was eight and did his first monologue at his 5th grade graduation. He took his first acting class in the 6th grade, and this was the beginning of his acting quest. He also participated in a district play, which he won best actor for the whole district in the 7th grade. Throughout his middle and high school years, he did several plays and even completed performing in dramatic monologues in Latin, where he won 1st place at City, State, and National levels, four years in a row. Though they were small roles, these were his foundations that initiated his curiosity for an acting profession.

Prompted for more about his acting career, Peters conceded that he did not do acting while he was in Med School. He explained that he did medical school for 4-years and did 90-hours work weeks, so he couldn’t do any acting while studying. He instead explained that. he is now at the tail end of school and that was his reasoning for waiting to go back into acting. The good Doctor, also confirmed that it was March of 2013, that he actually went back into his acting career. He did not even get an agent until January 2014. “I was lucky each month, I have been able to book auditions every week,” he said.

In addition, he concurred that it is hard for him to say he enjoy doing both acting and being a Physician. He connoted that he would have to look at the benefits and draw backs of both professions. “I am not the broke type of guy, so I don’t want to be a broke actor,” he confided. He added that his medical career have different levels, and that at some point in the near future down the road he might hire people to help him. Peters also asserted that it was something humane about what he did. He said, “I grew up poor, my brother and sister never when to college. I never had anything to prove. Its hard to say I wanted to be like anybody. I enjoy Chris Tucker and Martin Lawrence. You never know what will come your way in this life, you have to work and when opportunity comes, you are available for it.”

When pressed even further, about how really difficult these two career paths are and how aggressively he have been perusing both of them, he pellucidly stated and unequivocally said, “The acting is new on a professional level, I have just started to act. When I go to these classes it doesn’t feel like work, its natural for me. My Physician’s work is more like work. I don’t let it overwhelm me. I don’t get excited, so it doesn’t bother me. I stop getting intimidated because I have gone through Med School, where I learned to cope.”

This brave Doctor, moreover revealed that he always knew that he would become a doctor but, not the acting, he did not know that. “I never thought about it,” he articulated. This very smart Doctor, got good grades in school. Finally, Dr. Peters caved in on how hard all this really is; he reiterated that he was in fact pulling it off, by the grace of God. He contents that looking back at his life, where he came from and the drugs and gangs, when his light got turned off and his mother had an old type writer and he had to work with it, he had always gotten it done.

“I don’t know how I get this stuff done. I really don’t; this is who I am, ” he explained. The biggest deal is my bosses are very supportive. I have never neglected anything on behalf of my patients. I keep the two compartments separated. I get people to cover me if I have patients, and I schedule very carefully, ” he said.

The proclamation of Doctor Peters is, “People are very resilient and I have met some of the most extraordinary people doing amazing things; this helps me and I keep energy. When you have a big goal you have to have big guts. You never learn from success you learn from failures. Success, requires no explanations but, failure requires an explanation,” he says.

“I Don’t And Can’t Even Tell You The Method To My Madness” By: C.
