Lynch’s journey began while attending the Salvation Army Basic School, in Alman Town. His first year, he attended Alpha Infant School and then the Jessie Kipoll Primary School; there, he passed his common Entrance Exam and entered High School, Wolmer’s Boys School. He explained that it was at Wolmer’s that he came into himself and realized who he was. Having a passion for people his demeaner was a mixture of debating and people skills. Lynch also attributed those skills coming through the Salvation Army teachings.

At Wolmer’s, Lynch developed a second skin and converged his artistries, claiming a 300 percentage points on each of his exams…English, Math and the Mental aptitude test core which, was excellence. Thereafter, the astute Lynch, set afoot into the International University of the Caribbean and the University of the West Indies, at the Mona Open Campus.

Having no father, (murdered) and being raised by his mother, at one point Lynch did not know what he wanted to do. “I didn’t want to be a doctor or did I want to be a lawyer. I wanted to do something that was easily identifiable, based on what people were saying to me as a youth. So, I geared myself towards that,” said Lynch.

In addition, Lynch said, “Moreover, working in the community as an advocate, doing Youth Community Advocacy Work, and getting awarded for it in 2006, achieved him a job in the Ministry of Education, in the Citizenship Education Program. A program about the Government of Jamaica, bringing back Civics. Bring back the order of patriotism and what it means to be a citizen.” The program, was dismantled in 2010.

“My Foundation is not an umbrella Foundation; it is geared towards academic advancement. It is A-Political,” according to Lynch. The Foundation’s mission is to help anyone in need accordingly, in terms of their operation. The goal is to provide the needs and help to reach goals to anyone seeking it. “The only thing we come to do is lead by example. We are saying ‘Music for Life,’ is used to draw cause to plight,” Lynch divulged.

In addition, the Foundation’s mission is also not to force governments or the private sectors to do anything; but, influence them by example. Lynch pellucidly stated that he and his team have not partnered with China or is doing business with any Chines private sector. “We went to China only for an event.” ” We are not here to influence anyone to do anything,” Lynch said.

‘Music for Life,’ is not incorporated, it doesn’t have its own registration. It is just a name for the event. In verifying the Foundation’s funds, Lynch contends that they do not have a set amount. They go by what they raise. “Our target is $5,000,000,00.” “Last year we raised $2, 000,000,00,” revealed the intrepid Foundation owner.

Conversely, Lynch proclaimed that he wants his non-profit, to become a multi-million-dollar Foundation in the United States, similarly to other Foundations catering to k1-k12…where the core curriculum will be or is Performing Arts. He also wants to put up a homestead (building) for precedent.

The flagship, stood with LIF, as an institution for Lynch, since its inception in 2008. The projection was to implement support for people in need. Lynch’s vision was to use performers to help by way of talent, which lends their support using talent to give life for a cause. The Foundation, is planning an annual Gala event, separate from LIF, in the foreseeable future.

“I think private sectors need to do more. We are doing it for the betterment of our people. ‘Music for Life,’ is the primary way the Foundation raises funds,” Lynch concluded.

LAWMAN LYNCH Written By: Editor C.
