NYC Parks is participating in the 2014 Love Your Block Grant Program<\/span>, applications are now available.<\/p>\n Love Your Block is an initiative of NYC Service in partnership with Citizens Committee for New York City that provides a unique opportunity for City resident groups to transform and improve their communities through local action while leveraging City services.\u00a0 Grants of up to\u00a0$1, 000 are awarded for block beautification projects that utilize City service from NYC Parks, NYC Department of Transportation, and the NYC Department of Sanitation. In addition to the cash grant and City service, winning groups receive projects planning and community building assistance, as well as support with local media coverage for the project.<\/p>\n The Love Your Block application deadline is February 20th\u00a0 2014.<\/span><\/p>\n To access the application or find out more information visit www.nyc.gov\/service<\/a> or www.citizensnyc.org\/grants\/love_your_block.html<\/a>.
