He was born Martin James Norman Riley<\/strong>. He came into this world May 22, 1954. His light stop shining March 23, 2016 in New York. He has one son International Reggae Artist Tarrus\u00a0Riley<\/strong>. In\u00a0this world his music was his beacon and\u00a0to this end, his beacon will continue to live. A funeral service will be held for him in Jamaica W I, April 5, 2016 at Half Way Three Road, Kingston.<\/p>\n

Never meeting him personally, I have seen him performed once. I have listen to his records and hear others talk about him, never once did I hear anyone utter a bad reference about him or demonized him in any fashion. Moreover,\u00a0in the Reggae Fraternity…call the Reggae Music Industry,\u00a0 you can’t go too far without someone mentioning the veteran\u00a0Jimmy Riley.\u00a0 A Reggae Star in his own rights he contributed to the Reggae Industry, on his own terms in his own way; \u00a0and has\u00a0an\u00a0Ambassador for the continuation of Reggae Music,\u00a0this Stalwart\u00a0helped to launch Reggae\u00a0to the\u00a0world, putting it on the global map.<\/p>\n

Jimmy\u00a0 was a\u00a0solo artist and was a member of the Sensations<\/em>,<\/strong> thereafter he joined the Uniques<\/em><\/strong>. His\u00a0top albums included:\u00a0 “Sexual healing”\u00a0 “Lay Lady Lay”\u00a0 “Pull Up Selector”\u00a0 “Love & Devotion” “Loving You” “Rock On” and “Live It To Know It.”<\/strong> His legacy and music, will live on through the generations to come.<\/p>\n

He is\u00a0is to be commented for\u00a0his contribution, a\u00a0job well done. He will be missed….his eyes are close, his physical form is no longer here, he has accentuated unto the heavens\u00a0but his blessings reign.<\/p>\n
